From the first moment you meet Mr Awad you know your in safe hands, I’m someone who is naturally cautious and struggle to trust others, Mr Awad fills you with confidence in what he does from the moment you meet him, he has lots of time for you and genuinely cares for you and enjoys what he does. Dr Awad performed a gastric sleeve for me in October 2024. From the initial consultation to the first post op catch up he has exceeded any expectations. I feel like he genuinely cares and wants everyone to achieve their best. Dr Awad is very factual which is what you need when you are having surgery! I found I hardly had any questions for him because all the information he provides answers any questions. Walking into theatre was scary and he instantly put me at ease with his calming nature and upbeat music he put on, I knew I was in safe hands. I’m only just over 3 months post op and I am a different person. Dr Awad has changed my life, I’ll forever my grateful!

Dr Awad undertook my gastric sleeve surgery on 3rd January 2019, I have to say, i have never met anyone like him, his passion for his job & the safety and health of his customers is paramount. He is absolutely 100% professional, kind, caring and patient, he explained everything to me in such detail that I could be sure to make an informed decision before going ahead. Underwent Heller’s Myotomy (keyhole) with Mr Awad for achalasia last May, and my eating has been almost perfect ever since. I didn’t suffer any pain whatsoever following the procedure and couldn’t be happier with how it went. Highly recommend Mr Awad and this procedure to anybody suffering with this condition.

I first spoke to Dr Awad over the phone and the minute I spoke to him I felt very comfortable with him he was very helpful and very honest with me. When I met Dr Awad he made me and my husband feel very comfortable and it felt like he was not just a doctor but he actually cared about me. He made sure we understood everything and that if we have any questions he was here for us. He visited me before and after the surgery to make sure I was ok. The care that he and the team took of me was great. Not only did he made sure I was ok but he was also made sure my husband was ok and how he was feeling . I would recommend Dr Awad and the Tonic team to take care of you.
Very Simply, I Can't Praise Him Or Thank Him Enough For What He Did For Me.
I consider myself to be a very lucky man. When I needed the best help at the most critical period of my life, Mr Awad appeared just at the right place at the right time. This man has been with me every step of the way since the day I was diagnosed. He told me what to expect on the day of the op and how difficult the recuperation would be and how determined I would have to be. This information is appreciated and acted on with each passing day. Most importantly of all, I consider Mr Awad to be a fantastic surgeon. After the surgery he told me that he had to work very very hard to remove all of the tumour and that it was an extremely difficult process. Thank God he persevered. I owe this man my life, simple as. After the procedure he took the time to contact my nearest and dearest and explain what had happened, which was very thoughtful. Now I am home and recovering arrangements are being made to see Mr Awad every 3 months for follow-up appointments. Very simply, I can’t praise him or thank him enough for what he did for me.
